It’s difficult to predict the exact cost of a move because every situation is different. Weight, distance, and special items like pianos or oversized furniture can all affect the final price. For that reason, we provide free estimates to every customer — so you’ll know exactly what to expect before moving day.
For a general overview of how we price moves:
Local Moves (within Cenla)
- Hourly rates based on crew size and truck
- Most moves use 3 movers and 1 van
- Large or heavy items (pianos, chest freezers, etc.) may require additional movers for safety
- We’ll recommend the right crew size during your estimate
Long-Distance Moves
- Priced differently from local moves
- Based on distance, weight, and services required
- Always includes a custom written quote before your move begins
Ways to Save on Costs
A little preparation can reduce your moving time (and your bill):
- Disassemble large furniture (beds, mirrors, dressers) in advance
- Disconnect appliances before the crew arrives
- Move fragile or personal items (computers, artwork, heirlooms) yourself
- Use our Free Wardrobe Boxes for clothing — quick, easy, and included in your move
- Place small items (nightstands, lamps, vacuums) near the loading area
Packing Options
Choose the level of help that fits your budget:
- Full Packing Service – We pack everything for you
- Fragile-Only Packing – We pack china, glass, artwork, and valuables; you pack the rest
- DIY Packing – Buy boxes, tape, and supplies from us at reduced cost (pickup or delivery available)
Many customers pack fragile items themselves in small boxes and move them by car. Safe, simple, and cost-effective.
